FC Goa down Deportiva Minera to seal their first win in preseason

While U17 world cup going on full swing ISL teams are getting prepared well for the forthcoming season with no exception for FC Goa who is currently training at La Manga Club in Spain ahead of the season.
It wasn’t a fruitful start for them in the Spanish campaign with 2-1 and a 4-1 loss to Real Murcia and FC Cartagena respectively. But finally, they got a relief as they beat Deportiva Minera by three goals to none.
The match started at a slow pace with both teams trying to play defensively and approach to maintain possession football. And hence both teams failed to create that many chances in the attacking third. But towards the end of first half the match slowly picked up and Goa managed to score via Spanish player Corominas to end the first half with a comfortable lead for the Gaurs.
The final half of the match saw Goa dominating the match with quick and possession football and trying to hold on their one-goal lead for the very first time in Spanish tour. And the Spanish Tercera Division (4th) club was on backfoot and trying to rely on counter attacks.Nevertheless, the gaurs doubled their lead with a solid strike from Manual Arana.
Soon after the second goal, it was a quick attack from FC Goa to give them the third goal and first victory in the pre-season tour at La Manga Club in Spain. It was Adrian Colunga who gave the Goans final goal of the match and second goal to his credit in pre-season friendlies in Spain.
FC Goa is expected to play one more friendly in Spain before coming back to Goa where they scheduled to play I-League giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal on 3rd and 9th November respectively. Both matches would be played in Bambolim Stadium.
