Scottish player Greg Syewart signs for Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC. This would represent an unorthodox move for Stewart who to date has never played outside of the United Kingdom, plying his trade with Cowdenbeath, Dundee, Birmingham City, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and Rangers.
Stewart has been a free agent ever since leaving the Gers in the summer following two years with the club he loves.
The attacker’s playing time was certainly limited at Ibrox – Stewart was a squad player at Ibrox, making 33 appearances for the Gers and scoring three times – the player cherished his time at Rangers.
Speaking upon his release, Stewart took to Instagram to express is delight at contributing to the club’s Scottish Premiership success and Rangers’ legendary 55th league crown
While the forward might never have cemented a first team place at the club Rangers fans certainly value his contribution and will wish him all the best in the Indian Super League.
